Informa announced that it will launch Food ingredients North America (FiNA) in 2019, co-located with the SupplySide West trade show Oct 15 to 19 in Las Vegas. The combined trade show will bring together two key events serving the global food, beverage and dietary supplement markets. The Food ingredients (Fi) events around the world offer food and beverage manufacturers access to a wide range of ingredient suppliers, and Fi North America will bring this event to the United States for the first time.
In addition to attracting visitors from large food and beverage brands, the event will also serve the fast growing natural, organic and functional food and beverage companies that are driving significant innovation in the market. Thousands of these brands participate in the Natural Products Expo West/East trade shows to promote and sell their consumer products. With sourcing and supply among the top challenges for many of these fast-growing companies, Fi North America and SupplySide West promise to offer access to the ingredients and services they need.
“Consumer demand for healthy, natural, sustainable and authentic products is driving the next wave of food and beverage innovation and causing significant evolution in how companies develop their products and manage their supply chains,” said Jon Benninger, vice president of health & nutrition at Informa. “Fi North America, combined with SupplySide West, offers a one-stop opportunity for discovering ingredients and solutions, sourcing from leading suppliers around the world, gaining insight into market opportunities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and consumer expectations.”
SupplySide West and Fi North America will aim at connecting and educating professionals responsible for developing finished foods, health, and nutritional products with ingredient suppliers across the food and beverage industry; providing a platform for doing business, with high quality content and digital services, for the complete vertical value chain.
Matthias Tesi Baur (Interim Group Brand Director) explained “for many years we have taken pride in serving the global food ingredients market through our global show portfolio from Europe to Asia and South America. Our strength has always been to offer the best route to market wherever our customer’s wish to make business, in the food ingredients industry globally. Launching the Fi brand into North America means that we have now successfully completed this unique offer to the industry. Combining our strength with the prestigious SupplySide West event will create a strong platform for our exhibitors and visitors to do business in North America.”
Fi North America will include educational content to provide food and beverage brands with the latest market, scientific and regulatory insights, as well as ample networking opportunities, aimed at connecting and educating professionals responsible for developing finished foods and beverages.
